Shakespeare Assemblies 

This week the English faculty have been delivering assemblies to all students marking Shakespeare’s birthday. Shakespeare’s birthday falls on the same day as St George’s Day so its been a great opportunity to discuss British Values, culture and the importance of Shakepeare’s work through history. The English team have been great at getting our students to see many modern words influenced by The Bard and highlighting movies, TV shows and plays that have links with Shakespeare.

Year 7 Challenge Mentoring 

Our next round of year 7 challenge mentoring kicked off this week with a great group of year 7s engaging in the programme. This group will have a weekly trip to Linklaters Offices to work with a volunteer on target setting and future plans.

EAL You’re Hired and Speakstreet 

Also in conjunction with our partners at Linklaters we’ve had our EAL you’re hired programme and Speak Street continuing. Both programmes aim to assist those students who have English as an additional language look forward to their futures.
