Congratulations to the Year 7 Boys’ Athletics Team

The boys’ athletic team went into the competition standing at 4th place, with just only ONE point behind third, the boys team (with an additional 3 new athletes) dug deep to compete against 8 other schools. We set the pace at the field events with Donnay & Armani destroying the speed bounce, while Remell and Fernando were top of the charts at the Vertical Jump. Shaun had a great contest in the Shot-Put achieving a significant score, whilst Ryan O and Andrio B took part in the Triple Jump giving us a solid lead into 3rd Place going into the track events.

The boys did exceptionally well in all track events and we are extremely proud of each individual and their attitude towards competing. We are happy to say that these young athletes will surely achieve great things in the future of this sport. It was a pleasure working with these young scholars.
The final results had stated that the Year 7 Boys Athletics Team achieved 2nd Place in the Haringey Indoor Borough Athletics Championships with 166 Points overall. We were 2 points clear of third position which emphasizes that every Year 7 boy made a significant difference to the final result.
A hearty congratulations to:
Shaun A, Remell S, Donnay W, Deny O, Fernando C, Andrio B, Ryan O, Armani W and Anthony P
